COVID-19 POLICY

The deadline to submit your COVID-19 status information online was DECEMBER 10.
If you missed the deadline, bring your documentation with you to the registration counter in Dallas to receive your badge.

JEN is committed to employing policies and procedures for the health of our performers, presenters, students, attendees, volunteers, exhibitors, and staff.

To support a healthy in-person conference,  Jazz Education Network will require proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 with a vaccine approved for emergency use by the United States Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) or World Health Organization (“WHO”), with the final dose of their vaccine administered at least 14 days before entry (December 22, 2021).

OR

proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of arrival at the conference as a prerequisite to attending and participating in the JEN conference.


REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS

To receive your registration badge to attend and/or participate in the JEN Conference in Dallas, Jazz Education Network will require

EITHER

1. Proof of full vaccination against COVID-19

Final dose administered at least 14 days before entry. (December 22, 2021)

OR

2. Proof of a negative COVID-19 test

A negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of arrival or a negative COVID-19 rapid antigen test taken within 6 hours of arrival.

 

Attendees have the option of providing a negative COVID-19 test at the conference registration counter in Dallas to receive your badge,

MASK POLICY

Whether vaccinated or not, ALL individuals will still be required to wear a mask that covers the nose and mouth while inside the Exhibit Hall or a room that is being used to present a JEN Conference session, meeting, or performance. Performers and presenters may choose to wear or not wear a mask during their performance or presentation.

Masks must completely cover the mouth and nose.  Makeshift masks are not acceptable, including non-surgical paper masks, scarves, neck gaiters, shirts pulled up, and the like.

Jazz Education Network reserves the right to refuse entry or remove from a performance room, presentation room, or the  exhibit hall any individuals who do not adhere to these policies.

Jazz Education Network recommends wearing a mask in the Hotel lobby and other public spaces.

COVID-19 POLICY ACKNOWLEDGMENT

All Jazz Education Network Conference attendees are required to acknowledge and accept our COVID-19 Policy. Your conference registration is acknowledgment and agreement of the JEN Conference COVID-19 Policy. 

As new guidance regarding best practices becomes available, we will continue to update our policies and procedures regarding COVID-19 in relation to the JEN Conference, January 5-8, 2022.

Attendees opting to provide a negative COVID-19 test, please present one of the following at registration:

NOTE: A limited amount of rapid antigen tests will be available for $15 at the registration counter. Directors of student ensembles will have first priority to purchase. (Available while supplies last.)

You may present proof of a negative test on paper or a smartphone.

If children 12 and under become eligible to receive the vaccine, and their second dosage is administered on or before December 22, please arrive at the registration counter with documentation.[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”I am unable to get the vaccine for medical reasons. PHOTO ID REQUIRED

Along with proof of vaccination, all guests 18 years or older must also present a government-issued photo ID, such as a driver’s license or passport.

Guests under 18 may also use a school ID, with or without a photo. Other forms of ID may also be accepted, such as a copy of a birth certificate or other government-issued ID.
