ABOUT PAUL SIMEON FINGEROTE

Paul Simeon Fingerote is a veteran marketing professional with a 40-year international career, including 30 years as Marketing Director of the Monterey Jazz Festival and, currently, as Marketing, Public Relations and Development Director of the California Jazz Conservatory in Berkeley, California. Fingerote worked his way up the corporate ladder and around the world as a copywriter and creative director of major ad agencies in Los Angeles, California; Toronto, Canada; Sydney, Australia; and London, England. He owned and operated his own ad agency in Monterey for 18 successful years working on local, regional, and national marketing and advertising campaigns. He is a professional speaker and presenter of his popular Back-to-Basics Hands-On Marketing Workshop, successfully sharing his Six Simple Steps to Marketing Success with groups, corporations, businesses, and individuals for over 30 years. Fingerote also currently works as an on-air host for NPR’s Monterey Bay area outlet 90.3 KAZU. He is the co-author of Jazz on My Mind, written in collaboration with the late Dr. Herb Wong, a founder of the field of jazz education and seven-decade jazz industry veteran. Fingerote works out of his home office in Monterey and his California Jazz Conservatory office located in the heart of Berkeley’s Downtown Arts District.
