INEKE VAN DOORN
WEBINAR OVERVIEW
A presentation from the
Jazz Education Research and Practice Journal,
a publication of the Jazz Education Network.
Instrumental jazz often serves as the primary model for improvising singers and the range of unique vocal elements is often overlooked. Therefor vocal improvisers often sound like instruments and lose a part of their vocal individuality. This model and concrete ideas and exercises on teaching vocal improvisation will be discussed.
